Trojans Race Past Chargers!

The Milpitas Trojans (7-0,3-0) beat the Wilcox Chargers (3-3,2-1) 42-17 last Friday night @ Milpitas. The Trojans scored on their opening posession. Tariq Bracy ran it in from 4 yds out and the race was on. After a Wilcox FG and TD, the Trojans went right down and scored. Bracy from 13 yds out and a 14-10 lead they would not relinquish again. The Milpitas D stopped Wilcox on the Trojans 45 on 4th down and took over with 1:09 left on the clock in the half. 29 seconds later the Trojans were in the endzone on a spectacular catch in the back left corner of the end zone by Israel Gil from TyRee Bracy. The 25 yd hookup made it 21-10 at half. The Trojans received the 2nd half kickoff and marched right down the field and scored on a Tariq Bracy 37 yd run to make it 28-10 after 3. The Trojans again got the ball back quickly and scored on a TyRee Bracy 1 yd run and a commanding 35-10 lead. Tariq Bracy capped off his brilliant performance with an 8 yd run and the final tally for the Trojans. The Trojan offensive line was giving Bracy great lanes to run in and great protection to throw in. Justin Scrempos, Nathan Benavidez, Bryle Canlas, Mozes Gurrola and Nate Duong helped Tariq lead all rushers with 213 yds on 23 carries and 4 TD's. Crushing blocks from RB's JT Vete, Jake Sua and Abraham Vea were a huge contributing factor as well. TyRee was 6-8-138 and 1 TD. He also ran one in. Tariq also led all receivers with 2-83. Tuni Fifita had 3-30. Gil's only catch went for a TD. The Trojan D was swarming all over the Wilcox vaunted veer attack. The Trojans had 7 players with double digit tackles. Gabe Erickson-22, Christian Garcia-18, Faiven Papalii-15, Tai Nguyen-14, Isiah Cotton-12, Abraham Vea-10 and Noah Rodriguez-10.Cotton also recovered a fumble. Gil was also a factor on D with the lone INT for the Trojans. Mariano Robles was 6-6 on PAT's and was bombing kickoffs all night. It was another great team effort by the Trojans!
